B&T Steel History

B & T Staalkonstruksie CC was established in 1995.

We started in 1995 as a small business in a rented factory with 2 small offices. We are proud to say that we now own our own factory (2900m2) and the yard, (4,1 ha), and we continue growing bigger and better.

B & T manufactures quality, engineer-designed steel structures. We only use high quality steel W300, H-section material. Galvanised or chromadeck sheeting is used as cladding. B & T erects structures countrywide and also in neighbouring countries. We also use our own transport to deliver material on site.

We have our own fleet consisting of 2x 8ton trucks, 2x horses, 5x tri-axel trailors, 1x 3 ton truck and 7x 1ton bakkies. B & T have their own drafting office, which uses Autocad to prepare their own shopdrawings and detailed drawings.

We use the most modern manufacturing equipment. Workforce consists of 10 boilermakers, 40 workers and 13 subcontractor teams working in the field. Welding is done with CO2 welders. Punching and cutting are done with imported machines.

Other products include alucushion (sisalation), translucent sheets, sliding and roll-up doors to client’s needs. Over the years we have build up a client base and we strive to keep all our clients satisfied. When erection is done, all the client needs to do is to supply us with sand, stone and cement or ready-mix for foundation blocks. Our teams have their own power supply and all necessary tools to do the foundations.
